Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. pork ribs
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups of uncooked jasmine rice

Preparation

  1. Combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, vegetable oil, and sesame oil in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Marinate pork ribs with the mixture for at least 1 hour, or overnight for better results.
  3. Preheat the Cook Cell wok with Hybrid HEAT technology over medium heat. Add the marinated pork ribs and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until browned.
  4. Preheat the Cook Cell pan with Cool TOUCH technology over low heat. Add sesame seeds to the pan and toast for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside.
  5. Rinse the uncooked jasmine rice with cold water. Drain and repeat until the water is clear.
  6. Add 2 cups of water to the Cook Cell wok with Heat CUBE technology and bring to a boil. Add the rinsed rice to the wok, stir, and cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to low and cook for 12-15 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed.
  7. Remove from heat and let it stand for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork.
  8. Slice the cooked pork ribs and serve on a bed of steamed rice. Top with toasted sesame seeds and slivered cucumber slices.

Garnish

Create a flower garnish using a chive blossom or rosemary sprig. Insert it in the rice and serve.
